surah Hud aya 102 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَخْذُ رَبِّكَ إِذَا أَخَذَ الْقُرَىٰ وَهِيَ ظَالِمَةٌ ۚ إِنَّ أَخْذَهُ أَلِيمٌ شَدِيدٌ﴾
[ هود: 102]
11:102 And thus is the seizure of your Lord when He seizes the cities while they are committing wrong. Indeed, His seizure is painful and severe.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishSuch is the grip and annihilation with which Allah seizes the towns that deny, in every time and place.
His grip of such disobedient towns is a painful and strong one.

Such is the Seizure of your Lord when He seizes the (population of) towns while they are doing wrong. Verily, His Seizure is painful, and severe.

Such is the chastisement of thy Lord when He chastises communities in the midst of their wrong: grievous, indeed, and severe is His chastisement.
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
Such is the punishment of your Lord when He seizes the (population of) towns while they are doing wrong. Verily, His punishment is painful (and) severe.
