﴿قَالُوا رَبَّنَا غَلَبَتْ عَلَيْنَا شِقْوَتُنَا وَكُنَّا قَوْمًا ضَالِّينَ﴾
[ المؤمنون: 106]
23:106 They will say, "Our Lord, our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a people astray.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishThey will say: “Our Lord, our wretchedness which had already passed in Your knowledge overcame us, and we were a people astray from the truth.

They will say: "Our Lord! Our wretchedness overcame us, and we were (an) erring people.

Qaloo rabbana ghalabat AAalayna shiqwatuna wakunna qawman dalleena
Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
They will say: "our Lord! Our misfortune overwhelmed us, and we became a people astray!
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
They will say: "Our Lord! Our wretchedness overcame us, and we were (an) erring people."
