surah Nahl aya 107 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمُ اسْتَحَبُّوا الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا عَلَى الْآخِرَةِ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْكَافِرِينَ﴾
[ النحل: 107]
16:107 That is because they preferred the worldly life over the Hereafter and that Allah does not guide the disbelieving people.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishSuch apostasy from Islam is because they gave preference to the trivial things of this world as a benefit for their disbelief in the Hearafter and because Allah does not guide to faith people who disbelieve, but He abandons them.

That is because they loved and preferred the life of this world over that of the Hereafter. And Allah guides not the people who disbelieve.

Thalika biannahumu istahabboo alhayata alddunya AAala alakhirati waanna Allaha la yahdee alqawma alkafireena

This because they love the life of this world better than the Hereafter: and Allah will not guide those who reject Faith.
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
That is because they preferred the life of this world over that of the Hereafter. And Allah does not guide the people who disbelieve.
