surah Baqarah aya 141 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿تِلْكَ أُمَّةٌ قَدْ خَلَتْ ۖ لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَلَكُم مَّا كَسَبْتُمْ ۖ وَلَا تُسْأَلُونَ عَمَّا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ﴾
[ البقرة: 141]
2:141 That is a nation which has passed on. It will have [the consequence of] what it earned, and you will have what you have earned. And you will not be asked about what they used to do.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishThat nation passed away before you, and earned what they earned from what they did.
They have earned for themselves from their own actions; and you have earned from your own actions.
You will not be asked about what they did, and they will not be asked about what you do.
No one is held accountable for the disobedience of someone else, and no one benefits from what someone else does.
Each person will receive his reward, according to what they themselves do.

Tilka ommatun qad khalat laha ma kasabat walakum ma kasabtum wala tusaloona AAamma kanoo yaAAmaloona

That was a people that hath passed away. They shall reap the fruit of what they did, and ye of what ye do! Of their merits there is no question in your case:
