surah Baqarah aya 149 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿وَمِنْ حَيْثُ خَرَجْتَ فَوَلِّ وَجْهَكَ شَطْرَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ ۖ وَإِنَّهُ لَلْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَ ۗ وَمَا اللَّهُ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ﴾
[ البقرة: 149]
2:149 So from wherever you go out [for prayer, O Muhammad] turn your face toward al- Masjid al-Haram, and indeed, it is the truth from your Lord. And Allah is not unaware of what you do.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishWherever you come from and wherever you are, you, O Prophet, and your followers are to face towards the Sacred Mosque ( the Kaaba in Makkah ) when you want to pray.
It is the truth that has been revealed to you from your Lord.
Allah is not unaware of what you do.
Rather, He is aware of all that you do, and you will be rewarded accordingly.

From whencesoever Thou startest forth, turn Thy face in the direction of the sacred Mosque; that is indeed the truth from the Lord. And Allah is not unmindful of what ye do.
