﴿مَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَلِنَفْسِهِ ۖ وَمَنْ أَسَاءَ فَعَلَيْهَا ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُمْ تُرْجَعُونَ﴾
[ الجاثية: 15]

English - Sahih International

45:15 Whoever does a good deed - it is for himself; and whoever does evil - it is against the self. Then to your Lord you will be returned.

Tafsir Ibn Katheer in English

Abridged Explanation of the Quran

Whoever does good actions, the result of his good action is for him, And Allah is in no need of his actions.
And whoever does bad, the result of his bad action is that he will be punished for it; Allah is not harmed by his bad.
Then to Me alone you will be returned so I can reward everyone with what they deserve.

Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali

Whosoever does a good deed, it is for his ownself, and whosoever does evil, it is against (his ownself). Then to your Lord you will be made to return.

phonetic Transliteration

Man AAamila salihan falinafsihi waman asaa faAAalayha thumma ila rabbikum turjaAAoona

Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation

If any one does a righteous deed, it ensures to the benefit of his own soul; if he does evil, it works against (his own soul). In the end will ye (all) be brought back to your Lord.

Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri

Whosoever does a good deed, it is for himself, and whosoever does evil, it is against (himself). Then to your Lord you will be made to return.
