surah Al Imran aya 161 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
3:161 It is not [attributable] to any prophet that he would act unfaithfully [in regard to war booty]. And whoever betrays, [taking unlawfully], will come with what he took on the Day of Resurrection. Then will every soul be [fully] compensated for what it earned, and they will not be wronged.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishNo of the prophets of Allah would be dishonest and take anything from the gains of war which Allah had not assigned for him.
Whoever dishonestly takes something from the gains of war will be repaid by being disgraced on the Day of Judgement: carrying whatever he took in front of creation.
Then every soul will be given the total reward of what they earned.
No one will be wronged by any addition to their disobedience or by any subtraction from their good actions.
Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali
It is not for any Prophet to take illegally a part of booty (Ghulul), and whosoever deceives his companions as regards the booty, he shall bring forth on the Day of Resurrection that which he took (illegally). Then every person shall be paid in full what he has earned, - and they shall not be dealt with unjustly.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
No prophet could (ever) be false to his trust. If any person is so false, He shall, on the Day of Judgment, restore what he misappropriated; then shall every soul receive its due,- whatever it earned,- and none shall be dealt with unjustly.
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
It is not for any Prophet to illegally take a part of the booty, and whosoever deceives his companions over the booty, he shall bring forth on the Day of Resurrection that which he took. Then every person shall be paid in full what he has earned, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly.

It is not a Prophet who would appropriate spoils or anything else to wrong uses or apply it dishonestly to his own use. Nor would he ever betray the trust or the one who trusted him. He who withholds from anyone what is his, by right, shall carry in Day of Judgement the insignia of fraud and misappropriation when every soul shall be requited with what is commensurate with its deeds and no one shall be wronged
Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi
(3:161) It is not for a Prophet to defraud; *114 and whoever defrauds shall bring with him the fruits of his fraud on the Day of Resurrection, when every human being shall be paid in full what he has earned, and shall not be wronged.

*114). When the archers, whom the Prophet had posted to defend the army against any attack from the rear, saw that the spoils of the enemy were being collected, they feared that the spoils might fall in their entirety to the lot of the soldiers who were then collecting them, and that they might, therefore, be deprived of their share. It was this idea which had impelled them to leave their posts. When the Prophet returned to Madina after the battle he asked them to explain the cause of their disobedience. When he had heard their unconvincing stories he told them: 'You thought that we would act dishonestly and would not deliver you your share.' (See Alusi. Ruh al-Ma'ani, commentary on this verse - Ed.) The verse alludes to this here. The purpose is to impress upon them that the Messenger of God himself was the commander of their army and that all their affairs were in his hands alone. What made them feel that their interests were not secure even in the hands of God's Messenger? Did they think that a division of spoils under the direct supervision of the Prophet Would be made in any manner other than that dictated by absolute honesty, trustworthiness and justice?
