surah Furqan aya 28 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿يَا وَيْلَتَىٰ لَيْتَنِي لَمْ أَتَّخِذْ فُلَانًا خَلِيلًا﴾
[ الفرقان: 28]
25:28 Oh, woe to me! I wish I had not taken that one as a friend.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishHe will also say due to extreme grief cursing himself: Alas for me! If only I had not taken so-and-so disbeliever as a friend!

Ya waylata laytanee lam attakhith fulanan khaleelan
Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
"Ah! woe is me! Would that I had never taken such a one for a friend!
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
"Ah! Woe to me! Would that I had never taken so-and-so as an intimate friend!"
