And they say, "When is this promise, if you should be truthful?" (21:38)

﴿وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَٰذَا الْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ﴾
[ الأنبياء: 38]

21:38 And they say, "When is this promise, if you should be truthful?"

And the disbelievers who reject resurrection say in their haste, “O Muslims! If indeed you are truthful in what you claim, when will this resurrection that you promise us with, happen?”

And they say: "When will this promise (come to pass), if you are truthful."

Wayaqooloona mata hatha alwaAAdu in kuntum sadiqeena

They say: "When will this promise come to pass, if ye are telling the truth?"

Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri

And they say: "When will this promise (come to pass), if you are truthful."
