surah Anam aya 49 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿وَالَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا يَمَسُّهُمُ الْعَذَابُ بِمَا كَانُوا يَفْسُقُونَ﴾
[ الأنعام: 49]
6:49 But those who deny Our verses - the punishment will touch them for their defiant disobedience.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishThose who deny our signs will be afflicted by the punishment because they opposed Allah.
If they had not gone against Him, but fulfilled His instructions and stayed away from His prohibitions, then the punishment would not have afflicted them.
Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali
But those who reject Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), the torment will touch them for their disbelief (and for their belying the Message of Muhammad SAW). [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi].

Waallatheena kaththaboo biayatina yamassuhumu alAAathabu bima kanoo yafsuqoona
Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
But those who reject our signs,- them shall punishment touch, for that they ceased not from transgressing.
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
But those who reject Our Ayat, the torment will strike them for their rebelling.
