﴿وَمَكَرُوا وَمَكَرَ اللَّهُ ۖ وَاللَّهُ خَيْرُ الْمَاكِرِينَ﴾
[ آل عمران: 54]
3:54 And the disbelievers planned, but Allah planned. And Allah is the best of planners.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishThe disbelievers from the Israelites plotted to kill Jesus ( peace be upon him ), so Allah planned to leave them in their misguidance; and He made another person resemble Jesus ( peace be upon him ) on the occasion when they actually tried to murder him.
Allah is the best plotter, because there can be nothing more severe than His plot against His enemies.

And they (disbelievers) plotted [to kill 'Iesa (Jesus)], and Allah planned too. And Allah is the Best of the planners.
