﴿أَمَّن يَهْدِيكُمْ فِي ظُلُمَاتِ الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ وَمَن يُرْسِلُ الرِّيَاحَ بُشْرًا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَحْمَتِهِ ۗ أَإِلَٰهٌ مَّعَ اللَّهِ ۚ تَعَالَى اللَّهُ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ﴾
[ النمل: 63]

English - Sahih International

27:63 Is He [not best] who guides you through the darknesses of the land and sea and who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy? Is there a deity with Allah? High is Allah above whatever they associate with Him.

Abridged Explanation of the Quran

Is He not best who guides you in the darkness of the land and the darkness of the sea through the signs and stars He fixes for you, and who sends winds to give good news of close rainfall through which He will have mercy on His servants? Is there a true god alongside Allah who makes all that happen and decrees it? Allah is purified and far removed from the partners the creation associate with Him

Is not He (better than your gods) Who guides you in the darkness of the land and the sea, and Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His Mercy (rain)? Is there any ilah (god) with Allah? High Exalted be Allah above all that they associate as partners (to Him)!

Amman yahdeekum fee thulumati albarri waalbahri waman yursilu alrriyaha bushran bayna yaday rahmatihi ailahun maAAa Allahi taAAala Allahu AAamma yushrikoona

Or, Who guides you through the depths of darkness on land and sea, and Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His Mercy? (Can there be another) god besides Allah?- High is Allah above what they associate with Him!

Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri

Is not He Who guides you in the darkness of the land and the sea, and Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His mercy Is there any god with Allah Exalted be Allah above all that they associate as partners!

Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(27:63) And Who is it Who shows you the way in the darkness of the land and the sea, *78 and Who sends the winds as harbingers of His mercy? *79 Is there besides Allah another god (who does this)? Far exalted is Allah above what they associate with Him .

*78) That is, "He has made such arrangements by means of the stars that you can find your way even in the darkness of the night." This is also because of the wise planning of Allah that He has created such means by which man can determine his direction and the way to his destination in his journeys by sea and land. In the day time he is guided by different land-marks and the direction of sunrise and sun-set, and in the dark nights by the stars. In Surah An-Nahl this has been counted among the bounties of AIlah: "He has placed land-marks to direct people, and by the stars, too, they are guided aright." (v. 16)
*79) "Allah's mercy" the rain whose coming is promptly foretold by the winds.

اور وہ کون ہے جو خشکی اور سمندر کی تاریکیوں میں تم کو راستہ دکھاتا ہے اور کون اپنی رحمت کے آگے ہواؤں کو خوشخبری لے کر بھیجتا ہے؟ کیا اللہ کے ساتھ کوئی دُوسرا خدا بھی (یہ کام کرتا) ہے؟ بہت بالا و برتر ہے اللہ اس شرک سے جو یہ لوگ کرتے ہیں
