surah Hijr aya 84 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿فَمَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ﴾
[ الحجر: 84]
15:84 So nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishThe wealth and the dwellings that they had gained did not ward off Allah’s punishment.

Fama aghna AAanhum ma kanoo yaksiboona

And of no avail to them was all that they did (with such art and care)!
