Quran 24:41 Surah An Nur ayat 41 Tafsir Ibn Katheer in English
24:41 Do you not see that Allah is exalted by whomever is within the heavens and the earth and [by] the birds with wings spread [in flight]? Each [of them] has known his [means of] prayer and exalting [Him], and Allah is Knowing of what they do.

Quran 24:41 Tafsir Al-Jalalayn
Have you not seen that God is glorified by all who are in the heavens and the earth prayer being one form of glorification and the birds tayr is the plural of tā’ir between the heaven and the earth spreading their wings? sāffātin is a circumstantial qualifier. Of each one of them He God verily knows its prayer and its glorification; and God knows what they do — the statement is predominantly directed to rational beings.
Almuntakhab Fi Tafsir Alquran Alkarim
Do you not see that all created beings animate and inanimate, in the heavens and on earth submit to Allah and celebrate His praises and extoll His glorious attributes (whether through the bodily structures. or through thoughts expressed in words), and so do the birds upon the wing extending their wings. Each group knows its mode of prayer and its mode of expressing admiration to Allah and extolling his glorious attributes, and Allah is Alimun of all that they do
Quran 24:41 Tafsir Ibn Kathir
Everything glorifies Allah, may He be exalted, and to Him belongs the Sovereignty
Allah tells us that whosoever is in the heavens and on the earth, i.e., the angels, mankind, Jinn, animals and even inanimate objects, all glorify Him.
This is like the Ayah:
تُسَبِّحُ لَهُ السَّمَـوَتُ السَّبْعُ وَالاٌّرْضُ وَمَن فِيهِنَّ
( The seven heavens and the earth and all that is therein, glorify Him ) 17:44,
( and the birds with wings outspread ) means, while they are flying they glorify their Lord and worship Him with the glorification with which they are inspired and to which they are guided.
Allah knows what they are doing, and so He says:
كُلٌّ قَدْ عَلِمَ صَلاَتَهُ وَتَسْبِيحَهُ
( Of each one He knows indeed his Salah and his glorification; ) meaning, He has guided every creature to its own way of worshipping Allah, may He be glorified.
Then Allah tells us that He knows all of that and nothing at all is hidden from Him.
He says:
( and Allah is All-Aware of what they do. ) Then Allah tells us that to Him belongs the sovereignty of heaven and earth, and that He is the Ruler and Controller, the God Who is worshipped and besides Whom none other is to be worshipped, and there is none to put back His judgement.
( and to Allah is the return ) means, on the Day of Resurrection, when He will judge as He wills,
( that He may requite those who do evil with that which they have done... ) 53:31 He is the Creator and Sovereign, and His is indeed the Authority in this world and the next.
To Him be praise at the beginning and in the end.
Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi
(24:41) Do *74 you not observe that all those who are in the heavens and the earth, and the birds with outspread wings, glorify Allah ? Each one knows the mode of its prayer and glorification, and Allah has full knowledge of all they do.
Do you not see that Allah is meaning
*74) As has been explained above, Allah is the Light of the whole universe, but His Light can be perceived and comprehended by the righteous believers only.
All other people grope about in the dark like the blind in spite of the all-pervading, aII-embracing Light.
Here a few of the countless signs which.
guide to the Light are being mentioned by way of example.
If a person whose eyes of the heart are open, sees them, he can perceive Allah working everywhere around him at all times.
But those who are blind of the heart, and can only see with the head's eyes, can see Biology and Zoology and other sciences working in the world, but they fail to perceive and recognize Allah's signs anywhere working in the world.

Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs
( Hast thou not seen ) have you not been informed, O Muhammad, in the Qur’an ( that Allah, He it is Whom all who are in the heavens ) of angels ( and the earth ) of believers ( praise ) pray to; ( and the birds ) they praise Him ( in their flight ) spreading their wings? ( Of each ) one of them ( He knoweth verily the worship ) who prays to Him ( and the praise ) who praises His hymn; it is also said that this means: He knows the prayer of the one who prays to Him and the praises of the one who praises Him; ( and Allah is Aware of what they do ) of good or evil.
Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali
See you not (O Muhammad SAW) that Allah, He it is Whom glorify whosoever is in the heavens and the earth, and the birds with wings out-spread (in their flight). Of each one He (Allah) knows indeed his Salat (prayer) and his glorification, [or everyone knows his Salat (prayer) and his glorification], and Allah is All-Aware of what they do.
