[ الإسراء: 62]
17:62 [Iblees] said, "Do You see this one whom You have honored above me? If You delay me until the Day of Resurrection, I will surely destroy his descendants, except for a few."

Quran 17:62 Tafsir Al-Jalalayn
Said he ‘Do You see — in other words inform me this one whom You have honoured whom You have preferred above me? by commanding that prostration should be made before him when ‘I am better than him. You created me from fire while him You created from clay’ Q. 712. If la-in the lām is for oaths You defer me to the Day of Resurrection I shall verily eradicate his seed by leading them astray all save a few’ of them of those whom You have given divine protection.
Almuntakhab Fi Tafsir Alquran Alkarim
And he added: Do you see that creature whom you treated with more honour than you treated me! If You grant me respite from death till The Day of Judgement, I will bridle his progeny, control them and misguide them excepting a few
Quran 17:62 Tafsir Ibn Kathir
And ( remember ) when We said to the angels: "Prostrate yourselves unto Adam." They prostrated themselves except Iblis.
He said: "Shall I prostrate myself to one whom You created from clay? ( 61 )He said: "See this one whom You have honored above me, if You give me respite to the Day of Resurrection, I will surely, seize and mislead his offspring, all but a few! ( 62 )
Allah mentions here the enmity of Iblis, may the curse of Allah be upon him and his progeny.
This is an ancient hatred, dating from the time that Allah created Adam, when He commanded the angels to prostrate to Adam, and all of them prostrated except Iblis, who was too arrogant and he haughtily refused to prostrate to him.
He said in a tone indicating contempt:
قَالَ أَأَسْجُدُ لِمَنْ خَلَقْتَ طِينًا
( He said: "Shall I prostrate myself to one whom You created from clay?" ) According to another Ayah, he said:
أَنَا خَيْرٌ مِّنْهُ خَلَقْتَنِي مِن نَّارٍ وَخَلَقْتَهُ مِن طِينٍ
( I am better than he.
You created me from fire, and You created him from clay. )[ 7:12 ] He also said, speaking to the Lord with disbelief and insolence, but the Lord bore it patiently:
قَالَ أَرَأَيْتَكَ هَٰذَا الَّذِي كَرَّمْتَ عَلَيَّ
( He said: "See this one whom You have honored above me..." ) 'Ali bin Abi Talhah reported that Ibn 'Abbas said, "He is saying, 'I am going to dominate his offspring, all but a few.'" Mujahid said ( it means ), "I am going to surround them." Ibn Zayd said ( it means ), "I am going to lead them astray." All of them are close in meaning, and the meaning of the Ayah is, "Do You see this one whom You have honored and made greater than me? If You give me time, I will lead his descendants astray, all but a few of them."
Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi
(17:62) He replied, "Should I bow before the one whom you have created of clay?" Then he added, "Just consider this: Was he worthy of this that you have exalted him over me ? If you give me respite up to the Day of Resurrection, I will uproot the whole of his progeny; *75 there shall be only a few of them who will be able to save themselves from me."
[Iblees] said, "Do You see this one meaning
*75) That is, " I will uproot them from the high position of Divine Vicegerency which demands steadfastness in obedience.
Their removal from that high position is just like the tearing of a tree from its roots. "
Tafsir Maarif-ul-Quran Mufti Muhammad Shafi

Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs
( He said: Seet Thou this (creature ) whom Thou hast honoured above me) by means of this prostration, ( if Thou give me grace ) if you reprieve me ( until the Day of Resurrection I verily will seize ) I will cause to slip, overpower and dominate ( his seed, save but a few ) who are protected from me.
Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali
[Iblis (Satan)] said: "See? This one whom You have honoured above me, if You give me respite (keep me alive) to the Day of Resurrection, I will surely seize and mislead his offspring (by sending them astray) all but a few!"
We try our best to translate, keeping in mind the Italian saying: "Traduttore, traditore", which means: "Translation is a betrayal of the original text".
