Surah Araf ayat 79 Tafsir Quran 7:79

﴿فَتَوَلَّىٰ عَنْهُمْ وَقَالَ يَا قَوْمِ لَقَدْ أَبْلَغْتُكُمْ رِسَالَةَ رَبِّي وَنَصَحْتُ لَكُمْ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تُحِبُّونَ النَّاصِحِينَ﴾
[ الأعراف: 79]

7:79 And he turned away from them and said, "O my people, I had certainly conveyed to you the message of my Lord and advised you, but you do not like advisors."

So he turned his back on them Sālih left them and said ‘O my people I have conveyed to you the Message of my Lord and gave you sincere advice but you do not love sincere advisers’.

But Saleh had warned them beforehand of the impending danger, and when he was met with defiance, he relinquished the prospect of their conformity to Islam. And when heaven avenged its own right, he turned away expressing his grief, Thus: My people, he said I conveyed to you Allahs message and His warning and I advised you against disobedience to Allah and I announced the event, but you do not seem to like those who give you advice

«يَا أَبَا جَهْلِ بْنَ هِشَامٍ يَا عُتْبَةَ بْنَ رَبِيعَةَ يَا شَيْبَةَ بْنَ رَبِيعَةَ وَيَا فُلَانَ بْنَ فُلَانٍ هَلْ وَجَدْتُمْ مَا وَعَدَ رَبُّكُمْ حَقًّا،؟ فَإِنِّي وَجَدْتُ مَا وَعَدَنِي رَبِّي حَقًّا»
( O Abu Jahl bin Hisham! O `Utbah bin Rabi`ah! O Shaybah bin Rabi`ah! Did you find what your Lord has promised you (of torment ) to be true, for I found what my Lord promised me ( of victory ) to be true.) `Umar said to him, "O Allah's Messenger! Why do you speak to a people who have rotted" He said,
«وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ مَا أَنْتُمْ بِأَسْمَعَ لِمَا أَقُولُ مِنْهُمْ وَلَكِنْ لَا يُجِيبُون»
( By He in Whose Hand is my soul! You do not hear what I am saying better than they, but they cannot reply. ) Similarly, Prophet Salih, peace be upon him, said to his people, لَقَدْ أَبْلَغْتُكُمْ رِسَالَةَ رَبِّى وَنَصَحْتُ لَكُمْ ( "I have indeed conveyed to you the Message of my Lord, and have given you good advice," ) but you did not benefit from it because you do not like the Truth and do not follow those who give you sincere advice, وَلَكِن لاَّ تُحِبُّونَ النَّـصِحِينَ ( "but you like not good advisers." ) وَلُوطًا إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ أَتَأْتُونَ الْفَـحِشَةَ مَا سَبَقَكُمْ بِهَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ مِّن الْعَـلَمِينَ

«يَا أَبَا جَهْلِ بْنَ هِشَامٍ يَا عُتْبَةَ بْنَ رَبِيعَةَ يَا شَيْبَةَ بْنَ رَبِيعَةَ وَيَا فُلَانَ بْنَ فُلَانٍ هَلْ وَجَدْتُمْ مَا وَعَدَ رَبُّكُمْ حَقًّا،؟ فَإِنِّي وَجَدْتُ مَا وَعَدَنِي رَبِّي حَقًّا» ( O Abu Jahl bin Hisham! ( And Salih turned on them ) Salih left them before they were destroyed ( and said: O my people! I delivered my Lord’s message unto you ) explaining the commands and prohibitions ( and gave you good advice ) I warned you of Allah’s torment and called you to repent and believe, ( but ye love not good advisers ) you do not listen to those who advise you.

Then he [Salih (Saleh)] turned from them, and said: "O my people! I have indeed conveyed to you the Message of my Lord, and have given you good advice but you like not good advisers."
