وَالْعَادِيَاتِ ضَبْحًا(1)

 Pelos corcéis resfolegantes,

فَالْمُورِيَاتِ قَدْحًا(2)

 Que lanças chispas de fogo,

فَالْمُغِيرَاتِ صُبْحًا(3)

 Que atacam ao amanhecer,

فَأَثَرْنَ بِهِ نَقْعًا(4)

 E que levantam nuvens de poeira,

فَوَسَطْنَ بِهِ جَمْعًا(5)

 E que irrompem, nas colunas adversárias,

إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ لِرَبِّهِ لَكَنُودٌ(6)

 Que o homem é ingrato para com o seu Senhor.

وَإِنَّهُ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ لَشَهِيدٌ(7)

 - Ele mesmo é testemunha disso! -

وَإِنَّهُ لِحُبِّ الْخَيْرِ لَشَدِيدٌ(8)

 E que é violento quanto ao amor aos bens terrenos.

۞ أَفَلَا يَعْلَمُ إِذَا بُعْثِرَ مَا فِي الْقُبُورِ(9)

 Ignoram eles, acaso, que quando os que estão nos sepulcros forem ressuscitados,

وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِي الصُّدُورِ(10)

 E for revelado tudo quanto encerram os corações (humanos),

إِنَّ رَبَّهُم بِهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّخَبِيرٌ(11)

 Nesse dia, o seu Senhor estará inteirado deles?
