﴿إِنَّ الَّذِينَ سَبَقَتْ لَهُم مِّنَّا الْحُسْنَىٰ أُولَٰئِكَ عَنْهَا مُبْعَدُونَ﴾
[ الأنبياء: 101]

English - Sahih International

21:101 Indeed, those for whom the best [reward] has preceded from Us - they are from it far removed.

Abridged Explanation of the Quran

When the idolaters said, “Indeed, Jesus and the angels whom were worshipped, will therefore enter the hellfire!” Allah said, “Verily, those regarding whom it was decreed in the Knowledge of Allah that they would be from the people of good fortune, like Jesus ( peace be upon him ), will be kept away from the hellfire.


Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali

Verily those for whom the good has preceded from Us, they will be removed far therefrom (Hell) [e.g. 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary); 'Uzair (Ezra), etc.].

Inna allatheena sabaqat lahum minna alhusna olaika AAanha mubAAadoona


Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation


Those for whom the good (record) from Us has gone before, will be removed far therefrom.


Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri


Verily, those for whom the good has preceded from Us, they will be removed far therefrom (Hell).

Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(21:101) As for those for whom We will already have ordained good (rewards), they will be kept far away from it *97

Indeed, those for whom the best [reward] has preceded from Us - meaning

*97) These will be the people who practised virtue and righteousness in this world. Allah has already promised that they will be kept safe from the torture and will be granted salvation.
