surah Shuara aya 116 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿قَالُوا لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ يَا نُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمَرْجُومِينَ﴾
[ الشعراء: 116]
26:116 They said, "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will surely be of those who are stoned."
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishHis people said to him, “If you do not stop calling towards what you’re calling us towards, you will definitely be harrassed and stoned to death.
”
Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali
They said: "If you cease not, O Nuh (Noah)! You will surely be among those stoned (to death)."
phonetic Transliteration
Qaloo lain lam tantahi ya noohu latakoonanna mina almarjoomeena
Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
They said: "If thou desist not, O Noah! thou shalt be stoned (to death)."
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
They said: "If you cease not, O Nuh you will surely be among those stoned."
We try our best to translate, keeping in mind the Italian saying: "Traduttore, traditore", which means: "Translation is a betrayal of the original text".
