surah Anbiya aya 2 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿مَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن ذِكْرٍ مِّن رَّبِّهِم مُّحْدَثٍ إِلَّا اسْتَمَعُوهُ وَهُمْ يَلْعَبُونَ﴾
[ الأنبياء: 2]
21:2 No mention comes to them anew from their Lord except that they listen to it while they are at play
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishAnd no part of the Qur’ān which is newly revealed comes to them except that they listen to it without benefiting, but rather playful listening, without caring about its contents.

Comes not unto them an admonition (a chapter of the Quran) from their Lord as a recent revelation but they listen to it while they play,

Never comes (aught) to them of a renewed Message from their Lord, but they listen to it as in jest,-

(21:2) They give a mere formal hearing to every new Revelation *3 that comes to them from their Lord and remain engaged in the game (of life) for their hearts are preoccupied (with other matters.) *4
