﴿قَالُوا بَل لَّمْ تَكُونُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ﴾
[ الصافات: 29]
37:29 The oppressors will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believers,
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishThe leaders will say to the followers: “The matter is not as you claim it is.
Rather, you yourselves were upon disbelief and were not believers; you were the rejectors.
”
Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali
They will reply: "Nay, you yourselves were not believers.
phonetic Transliteration
Qaloo bal lam takoonoo mumineena
Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
They will reply: "Nay, ye yourselves had no Faith!
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
They will reply: "Nay, you yourselves were not believers."
