﴿لِيُكَفِّرَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ أَسْوَأَ الَّذِي عَمِلُوا وَيَجْزِيَهُمْ أَجْرَهُم بِأَحْسَنِ الَّذِي كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ﴾
[ الزمر: 35]

39:35 That Allah may remove from them the worst of what they did and reward them their due for the best of what they used to do.

Abridged Explanation of the Quran

So that Allah erases from them the worst sins that they used to do in the world, as they had repented from them and had turned towards their Lord, and rewards them according to the best deeds that they used to do.

Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali

So that Allah may remit from them the evil of what they did and give them the reward, according to the best of what they used to do.

Liyukaffira Allahu AAanhum aswaa allathee AAamiloo wayajziyahum ajrahum biahsani allathee kanoo yaAAmaloona

Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation

So that Allah will turn off from them (even) the worst in their deeds and give them their reward according to the best of what they have done.

Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri

So that Allah may expiate from them the evil of what they did and give them the reward, according to the best of what they used to do.
