And [We destroyed] Qarun and Pharaoh and Haman. And Moses had already (29:39)

﴿وَقَارُونَ وَفِرْعَوْنَ وَهَامَانَ ۖ وَلَقَدْ جَاءَهُم مُّوسَىٰ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَا كَانُوا سَابِقِينَ﴾
[ العنكبوت: 39]

29:39 And [We destroyed] Qarun and Pharaoh and Haman. And Moses had already come to them with clear evidences, and they were arrogant in the land, but they were not outrunners [of Our punishment].

I destroyed Qarun when he oppressed the people of Moses, by sinking him together with his property into the ground.
I destroyed Pharaoh and his minister, Haman, by drowning them in the sea.
Moses had brought them clear miracles indicating his truthfulness, but they behaved arrogantly in the land of Egypt and were too proud to have faith in him.
They could not be saved from My punishment by escaping from Me.

And (We destroyed also) Qarun (Korah), Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and Haman. And indeed Musa (Moses) came to them with clear Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), but they were arrogant in the land, yet they could not outstrip Us (escape Our punishment).

Waqaroona wafirAAawna wahamana walaqad jaahum moosa bialbayyinati faistakbaroo fee alardi wama kanoo sabiqeena

(Remember also) Qarun, Pharaoh, and Haman: there came to them Moses with Clear Signs, but they behaved with insolence on the earth; yet they could not overreach (Us).

Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri

And Qarun, Fir`awn, and Haman. And indeed Musa came to them with clear Ayat, but they were arrogant in the land, yet they could not outstrip Us.
