surah Fatir aya 45 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
35:45 And if Allah were to impose blame on the people for what they have earned, He would not leave upon the earth any creature. But He defers them for a specified term. And when their time comes, then indeed Allah has ever been, of His servants, Seeing.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishIf Allah were to rush to punish people for the wrong they have done and the sins they perpetrated, He would have destroyed all the people on earth at once, together with the animals and wealth they own.
But, He, ( may He be glorified ), gives them respite until a fixed time, which is the day of resurrection.
When the day of resurrection comes, Allah is fully aware of what His servants used to do, and nothing remains hidden from Him.
He will then recompense them for their actions, whether good or bad.
Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali
And if Allah were to punish men for that which they earned, He would not leave a moving (living) creature on the surface of the earth, but He gives them respite to an appointed term, and when their term comes, then verily, Allah is Ever AllSeer of His slaves.
