﴿وَكَانَ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ تِسْعَةُ رَهْطٍ يُفْسِدُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ﴾
[ النمل: 48]
27:48 And there were in the city nine family heads causing corruption in the land and not amending [its affairs].
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishAnd in the city of Hijr there were nine men who would cause corruption on earth through disbelief and sins, and they would not reform in it through faith and good actions.
