surah Al-Haqqah aya 7 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿سَخَّرَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَبْعَ لَيَالٍ وَثَمَانِيَةَ أَيَّامٍ حُسُومًا فَتَرَى الْقَوْمَ فِيهَا صَرْعَىٰ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ خَاوِيَةٍ﴾
[ الحاقة: 7]
69:7 Which Allah imposed upon them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so you would see the people therein fallen as if they were hollow trunks of palm trees.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishAllah released it upon them for seven nights and eight days, destroying them all.
You would have seen the people destroyed in their homes, thrown onto the ground by the wind; as if they were the decomposed trunks of date palms fallen to the ground.

Which Allah imposed on them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so that you could see men lying overthrown (destroyed), as if they were hollow trunks of date-palms!

He made it rage against them seven nights and eight days in succession: so that thou couldst see the (whole) people lying prostrate in its (path), as they had been roots of hollow palm-trees tumbled down!
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
Which Allah imposed on them for seven nights and eight days Husum, so that you could see men lying toppled, as if they were trunks of date palms, Khawiyah!
