surah Assaaffat aya 76 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿وَنَجَّيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ مِنَ الْكَرْبِ الْعَظِيمِ﴾
[ الصافات: 76]
37:76 And We saved him and his family from the great affliction.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishAnd I saved him, together with members of his household and the believers with him from the harm of his people and from drowning in the great flood, which was sent upon the disbelievers from his people.

And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning),

Wanajjaynahu waahlahu mina alkarbi alAAatheemi

And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity,

(37:76) We delivered him and his household from the great calamity; *41
And We saved him and his family from the great affliction. meaning
*41) That is, from the severe distress that was being caused to him on account of the continuous opposition and antagonism of a wicked and cruel people. This also contains a subtle allusion that just as the Prophet Noah and his companions were saved from the great distress, so also shall We ultimately save the Prophet Muhammad (upon whom be Allah's peace) and his Companions from the great distress that is being caused to them by the people of Makkah.
