surah Muminun aya 9 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَوَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَ﴾
[ المؤمنون: 9]
23:9 And they who carefully maintain their prayers -
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishThose who observe their prayers by being punctual in them, by performing them at their correct times together, obligations and preferred actions.

And those who strictly guard their (five compulsory congregational) Salawat (prayers) (at their fixed stated hours).

Waallatheena hum AAala salawatihim yuhafithoona
Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
And who (strictly) guard their prayers;-
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
And those who strictly guard their Salawat.
We try our best to translate, keeping in mind the Italian saying: "Traduttore, traditore", which means: "Translation is a betrayal of the original text".

And they who carefully maintain their prayers - meaning
*9) Salawat is plural of Salat. In verse 2 the act of Salat itself was implied, but here the plural number implies the individual Prayers offered in their own times. "They strictly guard their Prayers": they strictly adhere to the prescribed times of the Prayers: they perform them with due regard for their pre-requisites, conditions and articles with clean body and dress and necessary ablutions: they do not regard their Prayers as an unnecessary burden, which has to be cast off somehow: they do not recite mechanically but understand what they recite and are conscious that they are supplicating their Lord like humble servants.
