अन्ततः अल्लाह की अनुज्ञा से उन्होंने उनको पराजित कर दिया और दाऊद ने जालूत को क़त्ल कर दिया, और अल्लाह ने उसे राज्य और तत्वदर्शिता (हिकमत) प्रदान की, जो कुछ वह (दाऊद) चाहे, उससे उसको अवगत कराया। और यदि अल्लाह मनुष्यों के एक गिरोह को दूसरे गिरोह के द्वारा हटाता न रहता तो धरती की व्यवस्था बिगड़ जाती, किन्तु अल्लाह संसारवालों के लिए उदार अनुग्राही है

تو طالوت کی فوج نے خدا کے حکم سے ان کو ہزیمت دی۔ اور داؤد نے جالوت کو قتل کر ڈالا۔ اور خدا نے اس کو بادشاہی اور دانائی بخشی اور جو کچھ چاہا سکھایا۔ اور خدا لوگوں کو ایک دوسرے (پر چڑھائی اور حملہ کرنے) سے ہٹاتا نہ رہتا تو ملک تباہ ہوجاتا لیکن خدا اہل عالم پر بڑا مہربان ہے

(2:251) Consequently, by Allah's grace, they routed the unbelievers, and David killed Goliath; and Allah gave him kingship and wisdom and taught him whatever other things He willed. And if Allah had not been repelling one set of people by means of another, the earth *273 would have been filled with chaos. *274 But Allah is bountiful to the world (and so repels chaos in this way).
