E quando si dice loro: “Seguite quello che Allah ha fatto scendere”, - sura Al-Baqarah Versetto 170

﴿وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اتَّبِعُوا مَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ قَالُوا بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَا أَلْفَيْنَا عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَنَا ۗ أَوَلَوْ كَانَ آبَاؤُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ شَيْئًا وَلَا يَهْتَدُونَ﴾
[ البقرة: 170]

E quando si dice loro: “Seguite quello che Allah ha fatto scendere”, essi dicono: “Seguiremo piuttosto quello che seguivano i nostri antenati! E ciò anche se i loro antenati non comprendevano e non erano ben guidati.

E se viene detto a questi increduli: " Seguite la guida e l`illuminazione che Allāh ha rivelato" , rispondono ostinati: " Noi seguiamo ciò che facevano i nostri padri , riguardo il credo e le tradizioni" .
Seguono i loro antenati , anche se non sanno nulla della buona guida e illuminazione e non seguono la retta via che soddisfa Allāh?!

Portuguese Translation - Helmy Nasr

E quando se lhes diz: Segui o que Allah fez descer, dizem: Não, mas seguimos aquilo em que encontramos nossos pais. E ainda que seus pais nada razoassem nem se guiassem?

Spanish - Noor International

170. Y si se les dice: «Seguid lo que Al-lah ha revelado», dicen: «No! Seguimos mejor lo que vimos que seguían nuestros padres». ¿(Lo harán) aun cuando sus padres no razonaban ni estaban guiados?

English - Sahih International

And when it is said to them, "Follow what Allah has revealed," they say, "Rather, we will follow that which we found our fathers doing." Even though their fathers understood nothing, nor were they guided?
