Quando poi [un tal uomo] verrà a Noi, dirà: “Ahimè, quanto vorrei - sura Az-Zukhruf Versetto 38

﴿حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءَنَا قَالَ يَا لَيْتَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ بُعْدَ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ فَبِئْسَ الْقَرِينُ﴾
[ الزخرف: 38]

Quando poi [un tal uomo] verrà a Noi, dirà: “Ahimè, quanto vorrei che tra te e me ci fosse la distanza che separa i due Orienti!” Che detestabile compagno!

Finché, quando colui che è avverso a invocare Allāh dirà, nel Giorno della Resurrezione, rimpiangendo: " Se solo ci fosse stata tra me e te , o compagno, una distanza grande quanto quella tra l`Oriente e l`Occidente: che infausto compagno!".

Portuguese Translation - Helmy Nasr

Até que, quando chegar a Nós, dirá ao demônio: Quem dera houvesse, entre mim e ti, a distância de dois levantes! E que execrável acompanhante!

38. Pero cuando (ambos) comparezcan ante Nos, (el hombre que rechazó la verdad) le dirá (al demonio que fue su compañero): «Ojalá entre tú y yo hubiese la distancia que hay entre el Este y el Oeste! Qué pésimo compañero!».

English - Sahih International

Until, when he comes to Us [at Judgement], he says [to his companion], "Oh, I wish there was between me and you the distance between the east and west - how wretched a companion."
