Verse 176 from surah Al-Baqarah

﴿ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ نَزَّلَ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ ۗ وَإِنَّ الَّذِينَ اخْتَلَفُوا فِي الْكِتَابِ لَفِي شِقَاقٍ بَعِيدٍ﴾
[ البقرة: 176]

English - Sahih International

2:176 That is [deserved by them] because Allah has sent down the Book in truth. And indeed, those who differ over the Book are in extreme dissension.

Tafsir Ibn Katheer in English

Abridged Explanation of the Quran

That punishment is what they get for hiding knowledge and guidance, because Allah revealed the sacred scriptures in truth, which must be made clear and not hidden.
Also, those who disagree with the sacred scripture, believing some of it and hiding some of it, have taken a position that is far from the truth.

Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali

That is because Allah has sent down the Book (the Quran) in truth. And verily, those who disputed as regards the Book are far away in opposition.

phonetic Transliteration

Thalika bianna Allaha nazzala alkitaba bialhaqqi wainna allatheena ikhtalafoo fee alkitabi lafee shiqaqin baAAeedin

Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation

(Their doom is) because Allah sent down the Book in truth but those who seek causes of dispute in the Book are in a schism Far (from the purpose).

Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri

That is because Allah has sent down the Book (the Qur'an) in truth. And verily, those who disputed as regards the Book are far away in opposition.
