﴿وَعَادًا وَثَمُودَ وَأَصْحَابَ الرَّسِّ وَقُرُونًا بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ كَثِيرًا﴾
[ الفرقان: 38]

English - Sahih International

25:38 And [We destroyed] 'Aad and Thamud and the companions of the well and many generations between them.

Abridged Explanation of the Quran

I also destroyed the Ad, the people of Hud, and the Thamud, the people of Salih.
I destroyed the people of the Well and I destroyed many communities between these three.

And (also) 'Ad and Thamud, and the dwellers of Ar-Rass, and many generations in between.

*52) There is no definite knowledge about "the people of the Raas'' . Different commentators have said different things about them, but nothing is convincing. The only thing that may be said about them is that they were a people who had killed their Prophet by throwing him into or hanging him down a "Rass " (an old or dry well).
