﴿يَقُولُونَ أَإِنَّا لَمَرْدُودُونَ فِي الْحَافِرَةِ﴾
[ النازعات: 10]
79:10 They are [presently] saying, "Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]?
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishThey would say: “Will we be returned to life after we have died?”
Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali
They say: "Shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state of life?
phonetic Transliteration
Yaqooloona ainna lamardoodoona fee alhafirati
Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state?
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
They say: "Shall we indeed be brought back from Al-Hafirah"
We try our best to translate, keeping in mind the Italian saying: "Traduttore, traditore", which means: "Translation is a betrayal of the original text".
