And if they deny you, [O Muhammad] - already were messengers denied (35:4)

And should they -the infidels- deny your mission O Muhammad and accuse you of falsehood so, were Messengers before you. They were met with the same negative response and were accused of want of conformity to the truth. And to Allah, the Ultimate Authority, are committed and submitted all matters and all affairs for consideration, decision and execution here and Hereafter

Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(35:4) (O Prophet), (there is nothing novel in it) if they cry lies to you; *8Messengers before you were also cried lies to. To Allah shall all matters be sent back. *9

And if they deny you, [O Muhammad] - already were messengers denied meaning

*8) "If they ...liar": `If they do not believe that there is no one worthy of worship but Allah, and accuse you of having made a false claim to Prophethood."
*9) That is, "It is not for the people to give the verdict that whomsoever they call a liar should in actual fact become a liar. The judgement rests with Allah. He shall in the end decide who was the liar, and shall bring the real liars to their evil end."

اب اگر (اے نبیؐ) یہ لوگ تمہیں جھٹلاتے ہیں (تو یہ کوئی نئی بات نہیں)، تم سے پہلے بھی بہت سے رسول جھٹلائے جا چکے ہیں، اور سارے معاملات آخرکار اللہ ہی کی طرف رجوع ہونے والے ہیں
