کیا ہم نے پہلے لوگوں کو ہلاک نہیں کر ڈالا

(77:16) Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? *8

Did We not destroy the former peoples? meaning

*8) This is an argument from history for the Hereafter, It means; "Consider your own history in the world. Whichever nations denied the Hereafter and took this worldly life to be real life and based their moral attitude on the results appearing here regarding them as the criterion of good and evil, ultimately went to their doom without exception This is a proof of the fact that the Hereafter is an actual reality overlooking and ignoring which causes the same kind of harm to a person which is caused when he chooses to close his eyes to the hard facts of life. (For further explanation, see E.N. 12 of Yunus, E.N. 86 of An-Naml, E.N. 8 of Ar-Rum, E.N. 25 of Saba).

  1. और लोगों ने उसके सिवा दूसरे दूसरे माबूद बना रखें हैं जो कुछ भी पैदा
  2. कि सारी खुदायी में (हर तरफ से) नूह पर सलाम है
  3. (ऐ रसूल) तुम कह दो कि मै खुद अपने वास्ते नुकसान पर क़ादिर हूँ न
  4. वह न बाक़ी रखेगी न छोड़ देगी
  5. और जब उन्हें समझाया जाता है तो समझते नहीं हैं
  6. औ ये ख़ुदा पर कुछ भी दुशवार नहीं
  7. बाज़ की औलाद को बाज़ से और ख़ुदा (सबकी) सुनता (और सब कुछ) जानता है
  8. लोगों के वास्ते जब (अपनी) रहमत (के दरवाजे) ख़ोल दे तो कोई उसे जारी नहीं
  9. वह कहता है कि मैने अलग़ारों माल उड़ा दिया
  10. (ऐ रसूल) हसमें शक़ नहीं कि जिन बातों में लोग (दुनिया में) बाहम झगड़ते रहते
