﴿لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَن تَبْتَغُوا فَضْلًا مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ ۚ فَإِذَا أَفَضْتُم مِّنْ عَرَفَاتٍ فَاذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ عِندَ الْمَشْعَرِ الْحَرَامِ ۖ وَاذْكُرُوهُ كَمَا هَدَاكُمْ وَإِن كُنتُم مِّن قَبْلِهِ لَمِنَ الضَّالِّينَ﴾
[ البقرة: 198]

इस में कोई इल्ज़ाम नहीं है कि (हज के साथ) तुम अपने परवरदिगार के फज़ल (नफ़ा तिजारत) की ख्वाहिश करो और फिर जब तुम अरफात से चल खड़े हो तो मशअरुल हराम के पास ख़ुदा का जिक्र करो और उस की याद भी करो तो जिस तरह तुम्हे बताया है अगरचे तुम इसके पहले तो गुमराहो से थे

118. अर्थात व्यापार करने में कोई दोष नहीं है। 119. अरफ़ात उस स्थान का नाम है जिस में ह़ाजी 9 ज़ुलह़िज्जा को विराम करते तथा सूर्यास्त के पश्चात् वहाँ से वापिस होते हैं।

इसमे तुम्हारे लिए कोई गुनाह नहीं कि अपने रब का अनुग्रह तलब करो। फिर जब तुम अरफ़ात से चलो तो 'मशअरे हराम' (मुज़दल्फ़ा) के निकट ठहरकर अल्लाह को याद करो, और उसे याद करो जैसाकि उसने तुम्हें बताया है, और इससे पहले तुम पथभ्रष्ट थे

اس کا تمہیں کچھ گناہ نہیں کہ (حج کے دنوں میں بذریعہ تجارت) اپنے پروردگار سے روزی طلب کرو اور جب عرفات سے واپس ہونے لگو تو مشعر حرام (یعنی مزدلفے) میں خدا کا ذکر کرو اور اس طرح ذکر کرو جس طرح اس نے تم کو سکھایا۔ اور اس سے پیشتر تم لوگ (ان طریقوں سے) محض ناواقف تھے

Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(2:198) And there is nothing wrong if you also seek the bounty of your Lord during the pilgrimage. *218 Moreover, when you return from 'Arafat, stay at Mash'aril-Haram (Muzdalifah) and remember Allah. And remember Him just as He has enjoined you, for you had gone astray before this. *219

*218). This was another misconception entertained by the pre-Islamic Arabs. They considered it objectionable to do anything relating to one's livelihood during the Pilgrimage. In their view earning one's living was an act of pure worldliness and hence it was bad to indulge in it while engaged in the performance of a religious duty. The Qur'an refutes this and expounds the view that if a person strives to earn his living while observing fully the laws of God his action is tantamount to seeking God's grace and bounty. (See 62: 10 - Ed.) It is no sin if a man sets out to seek God's good pleasure and during the same journey tries to combine that purpose with the quest for permissible worldly benefits.

The Muslims were asked to give up all those polytheistic and pagan practices that had arisen among the Arabs during the Age of Ignorance and which ran alongside the worship of God thereby adulterating the latter. They were required to consecrate their worship and adoration to God alone according to the guidance He had now revealed through the Prophet.

English - Sahih International

There is no blame upon you for seeking bounty from your Lord [during Hajj]. But when you depart from 'Arafat, remember Allah at al- Mash'ar al-Haram. And remember Him, as He has guided you, for indeed, you were before that among those astray.

তোমাদের উপর তোমাদের পালনকর্তার অনুগ্রহ অন্বেষন করায় কোন পাপ নেই। অতঃপর যখন তওয়াফের জন্য ফিরে আসবে আরাফাত থেকে, তখন মাশ‘ আরে-হারামের নিকটে আল্লাহকে স্মরণ কর। আর তাঁকে স্মরণ কর তেমনি করে, যেমন তোমাদিগকে হেদায়েত করা হয়েছে। আর নিশ্চয়ই ইতিপূর্বে তোমরা ছিলে অজ্ঞ।
