﴿اعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا لَعِبٌ وَلَهْوٌ وَزِينَةٌ وَتَفَاخُرٌ بَيْنَكُمْ وَتَكَاثُرٌ فِي الْأَمْوَالِ وَالْأَوْلَادِ ۖ كَمَثَلِ غَيْثٍ أَعْجَبَ الْكُفَّارَ نَبَاتُهُ ثُمَّ يَهِيجُ فَتَرَاهُ مُصْفَرًّا ثُمَّ يَكُونُ حُطَامًا ۖ وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ وَمَغْفِرَةٌ مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَرِضْوَانٌ ۚ وَمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا مَتَاعُ الْغُرُورِ﴾

जान रखो कि दुनियावी ज़िन्दगी महज़ खेल और तमाशा और ज़ाहिरी ज़ीनत (व आसाइश) और आपस में एक दूसरे पर फ़ख्र क़रना और माल और औलाद की एक दूसरे से ज्यादा ख्वाहिश है (दुनयावी ज़िन्दगी की मिसाल तो) बारिश की सी मिसाल है जिस (की वजह) से किसानों की खेती (लहलहाती और) उनको ख़ुश कर देती थी फिर सूख जाती है तो तू उसको देखता है कि ज़र्द हो जाती है फिर चूर चूर हो जाती है और आख़िरत में (कुफ्फार के लिए) सख्त अज़ाब है और (मोमिनों के लिए) ख़ुदा की तरफ से बख़्शिस और ख़ुशनूदी और दुनयावी ज़िन्दगी तो बस फ़रेब का साज़ो सामान है
Surah Al-Hadid Hindi12. इसमें सांसारिक जीवन की शोभा की उपमा वर्षा की उपज की शोभा से दी गई है। जो कुछ ही दिन रहती है, फिर चूर-चूर हो जाती है।

اعلموا أنما الحياة الدنيا لعب ولهو وزينة وتفاخر بينكم وتكاثر في الأموال والأولاد كمثل غيث أعجب الكفار نباته ثم يهيج فتراه مصفرا ثم يكون حطاما وفي الآخرة عذاب شديد ومغفرة من الله ورضوان وما الحياة الدنيا إلا متاع الغرور

जान लो, सांसारिक जीवन तो बस एक खेल और तमाशा है और एक साज-सज्जा, और तुम्हारा आपस में एक-दूसरे पर बड़ाई जताना, और धन और सन्तान में परस्पर एक-दूसरे से बढ़ा हुआ प्रदर्शित करना। वर्षा का मिसाल की तरह जिसकी वनस्पति ने किसान का दिल मोह लिया। फिर वह पक जाती है; फिर तुम उसे देखते हो कि वह पीली हो गई। फिर वह चूर्ण-विचूर्ण होकर रह जाती है, जबकि आख़िरत में कठोर यातना भी है और अल्लाह की क्षमा और प्रसन्नता भी। सांसारिक जीवन तो केवल धोखे की सुख-सामग्री है

جان رکھو کہ دنیا کی زندگی محض کھیل اور تماشا اور زینت (وآرائش) اور تمہارے آپس میں فخر (وستائش) اور مال واولاد کی ایک دوسرے سے زیادہ طلب (وخواہش) ہے (اس کی مثال ایسی ہے) جیسے بارش کہ (اس سے کھیتی اُگتی اور) کسانوں کو کھیتی بھلی لگتی ہے پھر وہ خوب زور پر آتی ہے پھر (اے دیکھنے والے) تو اس کو دیکھتا ہے کہ (پک کر) زرد پڑ جاتی ہے پھر چورا چورا ہوجاتی ہے اور آخرت میں (کافروں کے لئے) عذاب شدید اور (مومنوں کے لئے) خدا کی طرف سے بخشش اور خوشنودی ہے۔ اور دنیا کی زندگی تو متاع فریب ہے
Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi
(57:20) Know well that the life of this world is merely sport and diversion and adornment and an object of your boasting with one another, and a rivalry in the multiplication of riches and children. Its likeness is that of rain: when it produces vegetation it delights the tillers. But then it withers and you see it turn yellow, and then it crumbles away. In the Hereafter there is (either) grievous chastisement (or) forgiveness from Allah and (His) good pleasure. The life of this world is nothing but delusion. *36

*36) To understand this theme fully one should keep the following verses of the Qur'an in mind: Imran; 14- 15, Yunus: 24-25, ibrahim: 18, AI-Kahf: 45-46, An-Nur: 39. In aII those verses the truth that has been impressed on the mind is: The life of this world is a temporary life: its spring as well as its autumn is temporary, Them is much here to allure man. but this, in fact, consists of base and insignificant things which man because of his shallowness of mind regards as great and splendid and is deluded into thinking that in attaining them lies supreme success, The truth however is that the highest benefits and means of pleasure and enjoyment that one can possibly attain in the world, arc indeed bast and insignificant and confined to a few years of temporary life, and can be destroyed by just one turn of fate. Contrary to this, the lift hereafter is a splendid and eternal life: its benefits are great and permanent and its losses too are great and permanent. The one who attains Allah's forgiveness and His goodwill there, will indeed have attained the everlasting bliss beside which the whole wealth of the world and its kingdom become pale and insignificant. And the one who is seized in God's torment there, will come to know that he had made a bad bargain even if he had attained aII that he regarded as great and splendid in the world.

English - Sahih International
Know that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion and adornment and boasting to one another and competition in increase of wealth and children - like the example of a rain whose [resulting] plant growth pleases the tillers; then it dries and you see it turned yellow; then it becomes [scattered] debris. And in the Hereafter is severe punishment and forgiveness from Allah and approval. And what is the worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion.

তোমরা জেনে রাখ, পার্থিব জীবন ক্রীড়া-কৌতুক, সাজ-সজ্জা, পারস্পরিক অহমিকা এবং ধন ও জনের প্রাচুর্য ব্যতীত আর কিছু নয়, যেমন এক বৃষ্টির অবস্থা, যার সবুজ ফসল কৃষকদেরকে চমৎকৃত করে, এরপর তা শুকিয়ে যায়, ফলে তুমি তাকে পীতবর্ণ দেখতে পাও, এরপর তা খড়কুটা হয়ে যায়। আর পরকালে আছে কঠিন শাস্তি এবং আল্লাহর ক্ষমা ও সন্তুষ্টি। পার্থিব জীবন প্রতারণার উপকরণ বৈ কিছু নয়।

- और जब किसी की मौत आ जाती है तो ख़ुदा उसको हरगिज़ मोहलत नहीं देता

- वह तो वह (ख़ुदा है) जिसने ठीक ठीक बहुतेरे आसमान व ज़मीन पैदा किए और
- आज हर शख्स को उसके किए का बदला दिया जाएगा, आज किसी पर कुछ भी
- भला वह कौन है जिसने ज़मीन को (लोगों के) ठहरने की जगह बनाया और उसके
- उसके बाद बड़े सख्त (खुश्क साली (सूखे) के) सात बरस आएंगें कि जो कुछ तुम
