Quando da ogni parte giunsero loro i messaggeri dicendo: “Non adorate altri - sura Fussilat Versetto 14

﴿إِذْ جَاءَتْهُمُ الرُّسُلُ مِن بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوا إِلَّا اللَّهَ ۖ قَالُوا لَوْ شَاءَ رَبُّنَا لَأَنزَلَ مَلَائِكَةً فَإِنَّا بِمَا أُرْسِلْتُم بِهِ كَافِرُونَ﴾
[ فصلت: 14]

Quando da ogni parte giunsero loro i messaggeri dicendo: “Non adorate altri che Allah”, risposero: “Se il nostro Signore avesse voluto [che credessimo], avrebbe certamente fatto scendere gli angeli. Dunque non crediamo a ciò con cui siete stati inviati”.

Quando giunsero loro i messaggeri, si avvicendarono in un`unica missione, invitandoli a non adorare altri all`infuori di Allāh solo.
I miscredenti tra loro dissero: " Se il nostro Dio avesse voluto , ci avrebbe inviato messaggeri angelici; in verità, noi rinneghiamo ciò che ci avete comunicato poiché non siete altro che degli esseri umani come noi".

Portuguese Translation - Helmy Nasr

Quando os Mensageiros lhes chegaram, por diante deles e por detrás deles, dizendo: Não adoreis senão a Allah, disseram: Se Nosso Senhor quisesse, haveria feito descer anjos; e, por certo, somos renegadores do com que sois enviados.

14. Cuando sucesivos mensajeros se presentaron ante ellos llamándolos a adorar solamente a Al-lah, contestaron: «Si nuestro Señor hubiese querido, nos habría enviado ángeles (y no seres humanos como mensajeros).En verdad, no creemos en (el mensaje) que os ha sido revelado».

English - Sahih International

[That occurred] when the messengers had come to them before them and after them, [saying], "Worship not except Allah." They said, "If our Lord had willed, He would have sent down the angels, so indeed we, in that with which you have been sent, are disbelievers."
