E quante città abbiamo distrutto che erano ingrate [pur vivendo nell'abbondanza]! Ecco - sura Al-Qasas Versetto 58

﴿وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ بَطِرَتْ مَعِيشَتَهَا ۖ فَتِلْكَ مَسَاكِنُهُمْ لَمْ تُسْكَن مِّن بَعْدِهِمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا ۖ وَكُنَّا نَحْنُ الْوَارِثِينَ﴾
[ القصص: 58]

E quante città abbiamo distrutto che erano ingrate [pur vivendo nell'abbondanza]! Ecco le loro case che non sono più abitate, o quasi. Siamo Noi l'Erede finale.

E quanti sono i villaggi che rinnegarono le grazie di Allāh! Superarono ogni limite commettendo peccati e atti di disobbedienza, e infliggemmo loro una punizione con la quale li distruggemmo: Quelle sono le loro case in rovina; la gente passa nei loro pressi, e vedono che non sono state più abitate se non da qualcuno di passaggio; e Noi siamo gli Eredi che ereditano i cieli e la terra e ciò che vi è tra di essi.

Portuguese Translation - Helmy Nasr

E que de cidades aniquilamos, que foram ingratas com sua vida. E eis suas vivendas que não foram habitadas, depois deles, senão um pouco. E Nós somos O Herdeiro deles.

58. Y cuántas poblaciones destruimos por haber sido ingratas a pesar de vivir en abundancia! Sus viviendas no fueron habitadas después de ellos, salvo unas pocas, y Nos fuimos Quienes las heredamos.

English - Sahih International

And how many a city have We destroyed that was insolent in its [way of] living, and those are their dwellings which have not been inhabited after them except briefly. And it is We who were the inheritors.
