Verse 164 from surah An-Nisa

﴿وَرُسُلًا قَدْ قَصَصْنَاهُمْ عَلَيْكَ مِن قَبْلُ وَرُسُلًا لَّمْ نَقْصُصْهُمْ عَلَيْكَ ۚ وَكَلَّمَ اللَّهُ مُوسَىٰ تَكْلِيمًا﴾
[ النساء: 164]

English - Sahih International

4:164 And [We sent] messengers about whom We have related [their stories] to you before and messengers about whom We have not related to you. And Allah spoke to Moses with [direct] speech.

Tafsir Ibn Katheer in English

Abridged Explanation of the Quran

I sent messengers whom I have mentioned to you in the Qur’ān; and I also sent messengers whom I have not mentioned to you in the Qur’ān for a reason.
And Allah spoke to Moses without an intermediary in a manner that befits Him, as an honour to Moses.

Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali

And Messengers We have mentioned to you before, and Messengers We have not mentioned to you, - and to Musa (Moses) Allah spoke directly.

phonetic Transliteration

Warusulan qad qasasnahum AAalayka min qablu warusulan lam naqsushum AAalayka wakallama Allahu moosa takleeman

Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation

Of some messengers We have already told thee the story; of others We have not;- and to Moses Allah spoke direct;-

Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri

And Messengers We have mentioned to you before, and Messengers We have not mentioned to you, and to Musa Allah spoke directly.
