surah Qasas aya 33 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي قَتَلْتُ مِنْهُمْ نَفْسًا فَأَخَافُ أَن يَقْتُلُونِ﴾
[ القصص: 33]
28:33 He said, "My Lord, indeed, I killed from among them someone, and I fear they will kill me.
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishMoses said, pleading to his Lord, “Indeed, I have killed a man from amongst them: the Copt that a man from my tribe sought my help against, and so I fear that if I was to go to convey to them the message I have been sent with, they will kill me in return.
”
Muhammad Taqiud-Din alHilali
He said: "My Lord! I have killed a man among them, and I fear that they will kill me.
phonetic Transliteration
Qala rabbi innee qataltu minhum nafsan faakhafu an yaqtulooni
Abdullah Yusuf Ali - Translation
He said: "O my Lord! I have slain a man among them, and I fear lest they slay me.
Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri
He said: "My Lord! I have killed a man among them, and I fear that they will kill me."
We try our best to translate, keeping in mind the Italian saying: "Traduttore, traditore", which means: "Translation is a betrayal of the original text".

He said, "My Lord, indeed, I killed from among them someone, and meaning
*47) It did not mean that he was hesitant to go there because of the fear, but it meant this: "Kindly make some such arrangement that I am not apprehended on the charge of murder just on arrival even before I may convey to them Your message, for in that case the very object for which I am being sent will be defeated." The next verse makes it plain that the Prophet Moses, by this submission, did not at all mean to reject the office of Prophethood and refuse to go before Pharaoh because of the fear.
