surah Yasin aya 68 , English translation of the meaning Ayah.
﴿وَمَن نُّعَمِّرْهُ نُنَكِّسْهُ فِي الْخَلْقِ ۖ أَفَلَا يَعْقِلُونَ﴾
[ يس: 68]
36:68 And he to whom We grant long life We reverse in creation; so will they not understand?
Tafsir Ibn Katheer in EnglishWhoever’s life I extend by lengthening his lifespan, I return him to the stage of weakness.
Do they not think with their intellect and understand that this abode is not one of permanence and immortality and that the everlasting abode is that of the Hereafter!

And he whom We grant long life, We reverse him in creation (weakness after strength). Will they not then understand?

If We grant long life to any, We cause him to be reversed in nature: Will they not then understand?

Do they not ponder that he whom We carry through the stealing steps of age to advanced life, We cause to relapse into a degenerate and degraded state of mind, activity, knowledge, strength and status and make him lose the qualities and attributes he once possessed. Do they not deviate into sense and contemplate this fact

(36:68) Whomsoever We grant a long life, We reverse him in his constitution. *57 Do they still not understand?
And he to whom We grant long life We reverse in creation; meaning
*57) "Reverse him in nature," means that in old age Allah turns him back to the state of childhood. He becomes unable to stand and walk without the help and support of others; he is fed by others; he urinates and defecates in bed; talks childishly and is laughed at by others. In short, towards the end of life he returns to the same state of weakness with which he had started lift in this world."
