﴿الَّذِينَ يَذْكُرُونَ اللَّهَ قِيَامًا وَقُعُودًا وَعَلَىٰ جُنُوبِهِمْ وَيَتَفَكَّرُونَ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقْتَ هَٰذَا بَاطِلًا سُبْحَانَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ﴾
[ آل عمران: 191]

जो लोग उठते बैठते करवट लेते (अलगरज़ हर हाल में) ख़ुदा का ज़िक्र करते हैं और आसमानों और ज़मीन की बनावट में ग़ौर व फ़िक्र करते हैं और (बेसाख्ता) कह उठते हैं कि ख़ुदावन्दा तूने इसको बेकार पैदा नहीं किया तू (फेले अबस से) पाक व पाकीज़ा है बस हमको दोज़क के अज़ाब से बचा

جو کھڑے اور بیٹھے اور لیٹے (ہر حال میں) خدا کو یاد کرتے اور آسمان اور زمین کی پیدائش میں غور کرتے (اور کہتے ہیں) کہ اے پروردگار! تو نے اس (مخلوق) کو بے فائدہ نہیں پیدا کیا تو پاک ہے تو (قیامت کے دن) ہمیں دوزخ کے عذاب سے بچائیو

Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(3:191) those who remember Allah while standing, sitting or (reclining) on their backs, and reflect in the creation of the heavens and the earth, *135 (saying): 'Our Lord! You have not created this in vain. Glory to You! Save us, then, from the chastisement of the Fire. *136

*135). This means that with the help of those signs one can easily arrive at the Truth, provided one is not indifferent to God and looks at the phenomenon of the universe thoughtfully.
*136). When people look carefully at the order of the universe, it becomes clear to them that it is an order permeated by wisdom and intelligent purpose. It is altogether inconsistent with wisdom that the man endowed with moral consciousness and freedom of choice, the man gifted with reason and discretion, should not be held answerable for his deeds. This kind of reflection leads people to develop a strong conviction that the After-life is a reality. Thanks to this conviction, they begin to seek God's refuge from His punishment.

Allatheena yathkuroona Allaha qiyaman waquAAoodan waAAala junoobihim wayatafakkaroona fee khalqi alssamawati waalardi rabbana ma khalaqta hatha batilan subhanaka faqina AAathaba alnnari

Who remember Allah while standing or sitting or [lying] on their sides and give thought to the creation of the heavens and the earth, [saying], "Our Lord, You did not create this aimlessly; exalted are You [above such a thing]; then protect us from the punishment of the Fire.

যাঁরা দাঁড়িয়ে, বসে, ও শায়িত অবস্থায় আল্লাহকে স্মরণ করে এবং চিন্তা গবেষণা করে আসমান ও জমিন সৃষ্টির বিষযে, (তারা বলে) পরওয়ারদেগার! এসব তুমি অনর্থক সৃষ্টি করনি। সকল পবিত্রতা তোমারই, আমাদিগকে তুমি দোযখের শাস্তি থেকে বাঁচাও।

  2. और (ऐ रसूल) अगर तुम उनको उस वक्त देखते (तो ताज्जुब करते) जब वे लोग
  3. हाँ बात ये है कि तुम लोग जज़ा (के दिन) को झुठलाते हो
  4. जो रुए ज़मीन पर फ़साद फैलाया करते हैं और (ख़राबियों की) इसलाह नहीं करते
  5. और ये लोग खुद जिन बातों को पसन्द नहीं करते उनको ख़ुदा के वास्ते क़रार
  6. ऐ ईमानदारों मुशरेकीन तो निरे नजिस हैं तो अब वह उस साल के बाद मस्जिदुल
  7. (ऐ रसूल) क्या तुम ने उस शख्स (के हाल) पर नज़र नहीं की जो सिर्फ़
  8. अल्लाह वह है जिससे सिवा कोई माबूद नहीं वही (इतने) बड़े अर्श का मालिक है
  9. और जिस शख़्श को उसके परवरदिगार की आयतें याद दिलायी जाएँ और वह उनसे मुँह
  10. और ख़ुदा के सिवा उसका कोई जत्था भी न था कि उसकी मदद करता और
