تم ان پر داروغہ نہیں ہو

Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(88:22) and are not invested with the authority to compel them. *8

You are not over them a controller. meaning

*8) That is, "If a person does not listen to reason, he may not. You have not been appointed to force the will of the deniers: your only task is to distinguish the right from the wrong for the people and warn them of the consequences of following the wrong way; so this is the task you should continue to perform."

  8. ऐ मेरे कैद ख़ाने के दोनो रफीक़ों (साथियों) (ज़रा ग़ौर तो करो कि) भला जुदा
  9. वह लोग कहने लगे ऐ नूह अगर तुम अपनी हरकत से बाज़ न आओगे तो
  10. और शैतान जो (वसवसा) डालता (भी) है तो इसलिए ताकि खुदा उसे उन लोगों के
