Verse 81 from surah Al Imran

﴿وَإِذْ أَخَذَ اللَّهُ مِيثَاقَ النَّبِيِّينَ لَمَا آتَيْتُكُم مِّن كِتَابٍ وَحِكْمَةٍ ثُمَّ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ مُّصَدِّقٌ لِّمَا مَعَكُمْ لَتُؤْمِنُنَّ بِهِ وَلَتَنصُرُنَّهُ ۚ قَالَ أَأَقْرَرْتُمْ وَأَخَذْتُمْ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكُمْ إِصْرِي ۖ قَالُوا أَقْرَرْنَا ۚ قَالَ فَاشْهَدُوا وَأَنَا مَعَكُم مِّنَ الشَّاهِدِينَ﴾
[ آل عمران: 81]

(और ऐ रसूल वह वक्त भी याद दिलाओ) जब ख़ुदा ने पैग़म्बरों से इक़रार लिया कि हम तुमको जो कुछ किताब और हिकमत (वगैरह) दे उसके बाद तुम्हारे पास कोई रसूल आए और जो किताब तुम्हारे पास उसकी तसदीक़ करे तो (देखो) तुम ज़रूर उस पर ईमान लाना, और ज़रूर उसकी मदद करना (और) ख़ुदा ने फ़रमाया क्या तुमने इक़रार लिया तुमने मेरे (एहद का) बोझ उठा लिया सबने अर्ज़ की हमने इक़रार किया इरशाद हुआ (अच्छा) तो आज के क़ौल व (क़रार के) आपस में एक दूसरे के गवाह रहना

Surah Al Imran Hindi

43. भावार्थ यह है कि जब आगामी नबियों को ईमान लाना आवश्यक है, तो उनके अनुयायियों को भी ईमान लाना आवश्यक होगा। अतः अंतिम नबी मुह़म्मद (सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम) पर ईमान लाना सभी के लिए अनिवार्य है।

और याद करो जब अल्लाह ने नबियों के सम्बन्ध में वचन लिया था, "मैंने तुम्हें जो कुछ किताब और हिकमत प्रदान की, इसके पश्चात तुम्हारे पास कोई रसूल उसकी पुष्टि करता हुआ आए जो तुम्हारे पास मौजूद है, तो तुम अवश्य उस पर ईमान लाओगे और निश्चय ही उसकी सहायता करोगे।" कहा, "क्या तुमने इक़रार किया? और इसपर मेरी ओर से डाली हुई जिम्मेदारी को बोझ उठाया?" उन्होंने कहा, "हमने इक़रार किया।" कहा, "अच्छा तो गवाह किया और मैं भी तुम्हारे साथ गवाह हूँ।"

Quran Urdu translation

اور جب خدا نے پیغمبروں سے عہد لیا کہ جب میں تم کو کتاب اور دانائی عطا کروں پھر تمہارے پاس کوئی پیغمبر آئے جو تمہاری کتاب کی تصدیق کرے تو تمھیں ضرور اس پر ایمان لانا ہوگا اور ضرور اس کی مدد کرنی ہوگی اور (عہد لینے کے بعد) پوچھا کہ بھلا تم نے اقرار کیا اور اس اقرار پر میرا ذمہ لیا (یعنی مجھے ضامن ٹہرایا) انہوں نے کہا (ہاں) ہم نے اقرار کیا (خدا نے) فرمایا کہ تم (اس عہد وپیمان کے) گواہ رہو اور میں بھی تمہارے ساتھ گواہ ہوں

Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(3:81) And recall when Allah took a covenant from the Prophets: 'This is the Book and the Wisdom which I have given you. But should a Prophet come to you confirming that which is already with you, you shall believe in him and shall help him. *69 So saying, Allah asked: 'Do you agree and accept to take up the burden of the covenant?' They answered: 'We agree,' He said: 'Then bear wirness; and I will be with you among the witness.

And [recall, O People of the Scripture], when Allah took the covenant meaning

*69). A party of the People of the Book would fain lead you astray, whereas in truth they lead none astray except themselves, but they do not realize it.

Waith akhatha Allahu meethaqa alnnabiyyeena lama ataytukum min kitabin wahikmatin thumma jaakum rasoolun musaddiqun lima maAAakum latuminunna bihi walatansurunnahu qala aaqrartum waakhathtum AAala thalikum isree qaloo aqrarna qala faishhadoo waana maAAakum mina alshshahideena

English - Sahih International


And [recall, O People of the Scripture], when Allah took the covenant of the prophets, [saying], "Whatever I give you of the Scripture and wisdom and then there comes to you a messenger confirming what is with you, you [must] believe in him and support him." [Allah] said, "Have you acknowledged and taken upon that My commitment?" They said, "We have acknowledged it." He said, "Then bear witness, and I am with you among the witnesses."

আর আল্লাহ যখন নবীগনের কাছ থেকে অস্বীকার গ্রহন করলেন যে, আমি যা কিছু তোমাদের দান করেছি কিতাব ও জ্ঞান এবং অতঃপর তোমাদের নিকট কোন রসূল আসেন তোমাদের কিতাবকে সত্য বলে দেয়ার জন্য, তখন সে রসূলের প্রতি ঈমান আনবে এবং তার সাহায্য করবে। তিনি বললেন, ‘তোমার কি অঙ্গীকার করছো এবং এই শর্তে আমার ওয়াদা গ্রহণ করে নিয়েছ? তারা বললো, ‘আমরা অঙ্গীকার করেছি’। তিনি বললেন, তাহলে এবার সাক্ষী থাক। আর আমিও তোমাদের সাথে সাক্ষী রইলাম।

  8. ऐसे लोगों का (ज़रूर) कहना मानो जो तुमसे (तबलीख़े रिसालत की) कुछ मज़दूरी नहीं माँगते
  9. (क्योंकि) क़यामत ज़रूर आने वाली है और मैं उसे लामहौला छिपाए रखूँगा ताकि हर शख्स
  10. तो ख़ुदा ने हम पर बड़ा एहसान किया और हमको (जहन्नुम की) लौ के अज़ाब
