Verse 94 from surah Al-Kahf

﴿قَالُوا يَا ذَا الْقَرْنَيْنِ إِنَّ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ مُفْسِدُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَهَلْ نَجْعَلُ لَكَ خَرْجًا عَلَىٰ أَن تَجْعَلَ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَهُمْ سَدًّا﴾
[ الكهف: 94]

उन लोगों ने मुतरज्जिम के ज़रिए से अर्ज़ की ऐ ज़ुलकरनैन (इसी घाटी के उधर याजूज माजूज की क़ौम है जो) मुल्क में फ़साद फैलाया करते हैं तो अगर आप की इजाज़त हो तो हम लोग इस ग़र्ज़ से आपसे पास चन्दा जमा करें कि आप हमारे और उनके दरमियान कोई दीवार बना दें

उन्होंने कहा, "ऐ ज़ुलक़रनैन! याजूज और माजूज इस भूभाग में उत्पात मचाते हैं। क्या हम तुम्हें कोई कर इस बात काम के लिए दें कि तुम हमारे और उनके बीच एक अवरोध निर्मित कर दो?"

Quran Urdu translation

ان لوگوں نے کہا ذوالقرنین! یاجوج اور ماجوج زمین میں فساد کرتے رہتے ہیں بھلا ہم آپ کے لئے خرچ (کا انتظام) کردیں کہ آپ ہمارے اور ان کے درمیان ایک دیوار کھینچ دیں

Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(18:94) They said, "O Zul-Qarnain, Gog and Magog *69 spread chaos in this land; should we then pay a tribute to you so that you may build a bulwark between us and them ?"

They said, "O Dhul-Qarnayn, indeed Gog and Magog are [great] corrupters in meaning

*69) As has already been pointed out in E.N. 62, Gog and Magog were the wild tribes of North Eastern Asia which, from the very early times had been making inroads on settled kingdoms and empires in Asia and Europe and ravaging them. According to Genesis (Chapter 10), they were the descendants of Japheth, the sort of Noah, and the Muslim historians have also accepted this. And according to the book of Ezekiel (Chapters 38, 39), they inhabited the territories of Meshech (Moscow) and Tubal (Tubalsek). According to the Israelite historian Josephus, they were the Scythians and their territory spread to the north and the east of the Black Sea. According to Jerome, Magog inhabited the territory to the north of Caucasia near the Caspian Sea.

Qaloo ya tha alqarnayni inna yajooja wamajooja mufsidoona fee alardi fahal najAAalu laka kharjan AAala an tajAAala baynana wabaynahum saddan

English - Sahih International


They said, "O Dhul-Qarnayn, indeed Gog and Magog are [great] corrupters in the land. So may we assign for you an expenditure that you might make between us and them a barrier?"

তারা বললঃ হে যুলকারনাইন, ইয়াজুজ ও মাজুজ দেশে অশান্তি সৃষ্টি করেছে। আপনি বললে আমরা আপনার জন্যে কিছু কর ধার্য করব এই শর্তে যে, আপনি আমাদের ও তাদের মধ্যে একটি প্রাচীর নির্মাণ করে দেবেন।

  5. और चोर ख्वाह मर्द हो या औरत तुम उनके करतूत की सज़ा में उनका (दाहिना)
  6. और जो लोग ख़ुदा की राह में मारे गए उन्हें कभी मुर्दा न कहना बल्कि
  7. और जिन लोगों ने ईमान क़ुबूल किया और अच्छे अच्छे काम किए ख़ुदा ने वायदा
  8. (और बुराई से) मलामत करने वाले जी की क़सम खाता हूँ (कि तुम सब दोबारा)
  9. यह सब रसूल (जो हमने भेजे) उनमें से बाज़ को बाज़ पर फज़ीलत दी उनमें
  10. हमने एक दीवार उनके आगे बना दी है और एक दीवार उनके पीछे फिर ऊपर
