﴿وَإِذْ صَرَفْنَا إِلَيْكَ نَفَرًا مِّنَ الْجِنِّ يَسْتَمِعُونَ الْقُرْآنَ فَلَمَّا حَضَرُوهُ قَالُوا أَنصِتُوا ۖ فَلَمَّا قُضِيَ وَلَّوْا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِم مُّنذِرِينَ﴾

और जब हमने जिनों में से कई शख़्शों को तुम्हारी तरफ मुतावज्जे किया कि वह दिल लगाकर क़ुरान सुनें तो जब उनके पास हाज़िर हुए तो एक दुसरे से कहने लगे ख़ामोश बैठे (सुनते) रहो फिर जब (पढ़ना) तमाम हुआ तो अपनी क़ौम की तरफ़ वापस गए

19. आदरणीय इब्ने अब्बास (रज़ियल्लाहु अन्हुमा) कहते हैं कि एक बार नबी (सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम) अपने कुछ अनुयायियों (सह़ाबा) के साथ उकाज़ के बाज़ार की ओर जा रहे थे। इन दिनों शैतानों को आकाश की सूचनाएँ मिलनी बंद हो गई थीं। तथा उनपर आकाश से अंगारे फेंके जा रहे थे। तो वे इस खोज में पूर्व तथा पश्चिम की दिशाओं में निकले कि इस का क्या कारण है? कुछ शैतान तिहामा (ह़िजाज़) की ओर भी आए और आप (सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम) तक पहुँच गए। उस समय आप नखला में फ़ज्र की नमाज़ पढ़ा रहे थे। जब जिन्नों ने क़ुरआन सुना, तो उसकी ओर कान लगा दिए। फिर कहा कि यही वह चीज़ है जिसके कारण हमको आकाश की सूचनाएँ मिलनी बंद हो गई हैं। और अपनी जाति से जा कर यह बात कही। तथा अल्लाह ने यह आयत अपने नबी पर उतारी। (सह़ीह़ बुख़ारी : 4921) इन आयतों में संकेत है कि नबी (सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम) जैसे मनुष्यों के नबी थे, वैसे ही जिन्नों के भी नबी थे। और सभी नबी मनुष्यों में आए। (देखिए सूरतुन-नह़्ल, आयत : 43, सूरतुल-फ़ुरक़ान, आयत : 20)

और याद करो (ऐ नबी) जब हमने कुछ जिन्नों को तुम्हारी ओर फेर दिया जो क़ुरआन सुनने लगे थे, तो जब वे वहाँ पहुँचे तो कहने लगे, "चुप हो जाओ!" फिर जब वह (क़ुरआन का पाठ) पूरा हुआ तो वे अपनी क़ौम की ओर सावधान करनेवाले होकर लौटे

Quran Urdu translation

اور جب ہم نے جنوں میں سے کئی شخص تمہاری طرف متوجہ کئے کہ قرآن سنیں۔ تو جب وہ اس کے پاس آئے تو (آپس میں) کہنے لگے کہ خاموش رہو۔ جب (پڑھنا) تمام ہوا تو اپنی برادری کے لوگوں میں واپس گئے کہ (ان کو) نصیحت کریں

Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(46:29) And call to mind when We sent to you a party of the jinn that they may listen to the Qur'an. *33 When they reached the place (where you were reciting the Qur'an), they said to one another: 'Be silent (and listen).' And when the recitation ended, they went back to their people as warners.

And [mention, O Muhammad], when We directed to you a few of meaning

*33) The traditions that have been related from Hadrat `Abdullah bin Mas'ud, Hadrat Zubair, Hadrat 'Abdullah bin 'Abbas, Hasan Basri, Said bin Jubair, Zarr bin Hubaish, Mujahid, 'ikrimah and others in connection with the commentary of this verse concur that this incident of the first visit of the jinns, which has been mentioned in this verse, had occurred in the valley of Nakhlah. And according to Ibn Ishaq, Abu Nu`aim Isfahaini and Waqidi, this incident occurred during the Holy Prophet's return journey from Ta'if to Makkah. On the way, when he halted at Nakhlah, and was reciting the Qur'an in the 'Isha' or the Fajr or the Tahajjud Prayer, a group of the jinns happened to pass by and stopped to listen to him. In this connection, all the traditions agree that on this occasion the jinns did not appear before the Holy Prophet, nor did he feel their presence, but AIIah informed him afterwards by revelation that they had come and listened to the Qur'anic recitation.
The place where this incident took place was either Az-Zaimah or AsSayl-ul-Kabir, for both these places are situated in the valley of Nakhlah and at both water is available and are green; if the travellers from Ta'if have to halt in this valley, they can halt at either of the places. Please see the map for the location of these places.

Waith sarafna ilayka nafaran mina aljinni yastamiAAoona alqurana falamma hadaroohu qaloo ansitoo falamma qudiya wallaw ila qawmihim munthireena

English - Sahih International

And [mention, O Muhammad], when We directed to you a few of the jinn, listening to the Qur'an. And when they attended it, they said, "Listen quietly." And when it was concluded, they went back to their people as warners.

যখন আমি একদল জিনকে আপনার প্রতি আকৃষ্ট করেছিলাম, তারা কোরআন পাঠ শুনছিল,। তারা যখন কোরআন পাঠের জায়গায় উপস্থিত হল, তখন পরস্পর বলল, চুপ থাক। অতঃপর যখন পাঠ সমাপ্ত হল, তখন তারা তাদের সম্প্রদায়ের কাছে সতর্ককারীরূপে ফিরে গেল।
