Verse 7 from surah Al-Baqarah

﴿خَتَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَعَلَىٰ سَمْعِهِمْ ۖ وَعَلَىٰ أَبْصَارِهِمْ غِشَاوَةٌ ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ﴾
[ البقرة: 7]

उनके दिलों पर और उनके कानों पर (नज़र करके) खुदा ने तसदीक़ कर दी है (कि ये ईमान न लाएँगे) और उनकी ऑंखों पर परदा (पड़ा हुआ) है और उन्हीं के लिए (बहुत) बड़ा अज़ाब है

अल्लाह ने उनके दिलों पर और कानों पर मुहर लगा दी है और उनकी आँखों पर परदा पड़ा है, और उनके लिए बड़ी यातना है

خدا نے ان کے دلوں اور کانوں پر مہر لگا رکھی ہے اور ان کی آنکھوں پر پردہ (پڑا ہوا) ہے اور ان کے لیے بڑا عذاب (تیار) ہے

Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(2:7) Allah has sealed up their hearts and ears and a covering has fallen over their eyes, *10 and they have incurred the severest punishment.

Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing, meaning

*10). This does not mean that their rejection of the Truth is a consequence of God sealing their hearts. What is meant is that God sealed their hearts and ears as a consequence of their decision to reject the fundamentals of faith, of their deliberate choice of a path divergent from that charted out by the Qur'an. Anyone who has worked for the dissemination of the Truth often finds that if, after full consideration, a person decides against a doctrine, his mind begins to move in a completely opposite direction so that he fails to appreciate anything that is explained to him. His ears become deaf, his eyes are blinded to the merits of that doctrine, and one gets the distinct impression that the person's heart has indeed been sealed.

  2. तो तुम भी खूब अपने चलत्तर (जादू वग़ैरह) दुरूस्त कर लो फिर परा (सफ़) बाँध
  3. और हमने जो उन कुफ्फारों में से कुछ लोगों को (दुनिया की) माल व दौलत
  4. और जो शख्स ईमान कुबूल करेगा और अच्छे काम करेगा तो (वैसा ही) उसके लिए
  5. (ऐ रसूल) कह दो कि नापाक (हराम) और पाक (हलाल) बराबर नहीं हो सकता अगरचे
  6. ग़रज़ (ये सब हो हुआ कर फिर) दोनों आगे चले यहाँ तक कि जब एक
  7. ये सुन कर ये लोग पुकारने वालों की तरफ भिड़ पड़े और कहने लगे (आख़िर)
  8. (यानि बेहश्त के) बाग़ और अंगूर
  9. रहे आद तो वह बहुत शदीद तेज़ ऑंधी से हलाक कर दिए गए
  10. तो क्या तुमने आग पर भी ग़ौर किया जिसे तुम लोग लकड़ी से निकालते हो
