Ó fiéis, não sejais como os incrédulos, que dizem de seus irmãos, (3:156)

﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَقَالُوا لِإِخْوَانِهِمْ إِذَا ضَرَبُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ أَوْ كَانُوا غُزًّى لَّوْ كَانُوا عِندَنَا مَا مَاتُوا وَمَا قُتِلُوا لِيَجْعَلَ اللَّهُ ذَٰلِكَ حَسْرَةً فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ﴾
[ آل عمران: 156]

Ó fiéis, não sejais como os incrédulos, que dizem de seus irmãos, quando estes viajam pela terra ou quando estão emcombate: Se tivessem ficado conosco, não teriam morrido, nem sido assassinados! Com isso, Deus infunde-lhes a angústianos corações, pois Deus concede a vida e a morte, e Deus bem vê tudo quando fazeis.

Portuguese Translation - Helmy Nasr

Ó vós que credes! Não sejais como os que renegam a Fé e dizem de seus irmãos, quando percorrem a terra ou são mortos, em combate: Se houvessem ficado conosco, não haveriam morrido nem haveriam sido mortos. Allah fez disso um motivo de aflição nos seus corações. E Allah dá a vida e dá a morte. E Allah, do que fazeis, é Onividente.

156. Oh, creyentes!, no seáis como quienes rechazan la verdad y decían acerca de los suyos (que habían perecido) al salir de viaje o a combatir: «Si se hubiesen quedado con nosotros, no habrían muerto ni los habrían matado». Al-lah hará que (esas palabras) sean un motivo de aflicción en sus corazones. Y Al-lah da la vida y la muerte y ve todo lo que hacéis.

English - Sahih International

O you who have believed, do not be like those who disbelieved and said about their brothers when they traveled through the land or went out to fight, "If they had been with us, they would not have died or have been killed," so Allah makes that [misconception] a regret within their hearts. And it is Allah who gives life and causes death, and Allah is Seeing of what you do.
